During the month of February we will be collecting: Soap & Washcloths.


Couples Study

We will be beginning a couple’s study on February 18 at the home of John & Nancy Ward. We will be walking through the book “Love and Respect: The Love She Most Desires; The Respect He Desperately Needs” by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs. Couples are encouraged to purchase a copy. Amazon has the Kindle version for $9.99 and the hard cover copy for 13.99 + shipping. (Unless you’re a prime member.) Please sign up in the foyer if interested.

Newsboys in Concert

The Newsboys will be in concert at Glad Tidings Friday, December 2nd at 7:00 Groups of 10 or more $20/ticket. There is a sign up sheet in the foyer.

This month is Georgia Barnette State Mission Offering Emphasis! Envelopes are in the foyer.

Family Camp at Dry Creek

September 23-24 Friday, 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, 2:00 p.m.
A campfire, a scavenger hunt, and plenty of food & snacks. Cost is $100 for a family of 3 and $20 for each additional child with a maximum of $160. Lodging will be in the motel-style Adult Conference Center. Dorm lodging is available upon request. For information on how to register contact the church office.


BCM Lasagna Dinners

It’s that time of year again. We have been asked to feed the McNeese students at the BCM (Baptist Collegiate Ministries) on Monday, Sept. 26. If you would like to help serve, heat lasagna, or furnish a dessert please let Linda Dowies know. It is a wonderful ministry and with the new facility, there is room for anyone who would like to be a part.

Dinner on the Grounds will be September 25. The church will provide the meat and drinks. Please bring a side or dessert to share.

Ladies. Need a little help making sure your Autumn garden plans “Fall” into place?

Join us September 13 at 6:30 p.m. In the fellowship hall as Sandra Bullock leads a Fall Gardening Class.

Westlake Ladies Bible Class

The Westlake Ladies Bible Class will begin it’s 40th year on Wednesday, September 14, 10:00 AM at the home of Linda Dowies, 1700 Hollis RD. We will be studying the OT book of Judges. Come join us!
